Hi there! Just found my saddle after some real bad experiences; finally found a keeper.
Now to complete the gear, I need a saddle bag that can attach to the saddle.. There is only one hole in the saddle's rear to slip a small band through... Any suggestions?:thumb:

Might be a good time to change saddles.

Look out for one with bag loops on it.

Practically any saddle bag that don't depend on saddle loops can hang from it.

You used to be able to buy bolt on saddle bag loops.

You should be able to use one of these:

The main strap loops up and over the back of the seat rails, and is secured with a velcro strap around the seatpost in front.

If there is 'one hole' at the rear and that hole is actually a slot, then it's likely that you have an ICS saddle.

ICS = Integrated Clip System

If your saddle is ICS then you really should look for an ICS saddle bag as it's a much neater mounting method.

I hear ICS bags are very prone to breaking.
might as well get a saddle bag with velcro straps.

When you say "saddlebag" do you mean a large carradice type bag or a simple underseat bag. How much capacity do you need?

As you found out by those "Loop" remarks, the term saddlebag means different things to different folks.

... I 'd like to carry with me some tools, tire and my phone. May even buy a frame bag that'll fit between top and down tube, makes it possible to open it without having to dismount.

Sounds like about 150 ci or so will do you fine. Just about any saddle pack with velcro straps would work fine. As suggested above, it sounds if you have a good option with the ICS system. Personally I like the Topeak clip systems and their bags. There is even one with a built in tool kit if you don't already have some tools.

There are lots of saddle bags that attach with straps that wrap around the seat rails. Topeak, Jandd and others make them. Personally I like the Topeak bags. Topeak also makes versions with a clip that you clamp onto your rails so the bag can be quickly installed and removed.
