Simple question. No political message. No lists of cheep beer and cheep wine. No arguments over the intent of possibly offensive language.

Anyone have an IRO Highlander SS? How do you like it?

Just thinking about getting one as a urban assault.

Thanks
Tim

Simple mind? There will be arguments over the spelling of "cheep beer and cheep wine" however ;)

When the next word starts with a vowel, its AN, not A, but we'll write that one up to a typo since you got it [w]rite the sec[u]nd time. ;)

I hate the whole "I'm not an english major" cop-out. I'm not AN english major either, but they did teach me to spell in all that mandatory school I took. ;)

Didn't you know that by saying all that, you would NEVER get an on-topic response?

of course I knew that my statements would cause this thread to immeadietly dissolve into drivle, but I was tired and/or drunk and frusterated with school and stuff. I do assume that this means that no one in here owns a highlander.
I apologize for the "not an english major" quip. I hate it when people say "you know, I've never been able to do math" and think its ok.
here's another excuse for my spelling: My mom always told me gifted people are often poor spellers.

I saw a IRO highlander at Harris cyclery. However I do not own one (I had earlier bought a IRO jamie roy). It is quite light for a steel frame (I lifted the bike and 'felt' the weight), looks sharp and welds are clean. The downtube and toptube are shaped and on first glance the bike appears like an aluminum one. If you dig thin round tubes then this is not it, but if you like modern look then this could be the one. Black color is fairly stealthy, so the shape of tubes does not stand out. However I cannot comment on the ride since I did not take it for a spin. I suspect it would ride just like any steel frame.

I have a 16" highlander, and I ride it everyday. Its great. I have about 400 miles on it with no problems whatsoever. Its a great ride. I've got an 80mm rock shox fork, a 34t chainring, and a 16t freewheel. Very stiff yet still quite light. I love everything about this bike. If you have any more specific questions I'd be happy to answer them for you.

I know this question was posted a long time ago, but I just recently joined this forum and wanted to offer my IRO knowledge.

Well, you know what they say about highlanders...there can only be one.
