I want to find out what my lactate threshold heart rate is. I've got a heart rate monitor, however, it doesn't have a lap button. This means it'll be difficult to do a 30 minute time trial test outdoors. Any ideas on how to do this without a lap button?

I was thinking: perform the test indoors, and after 10 minutes, put on the chest strap. However, I've heard doing this test indoors is much more difficult and not a very good gauge of LTHR.

Ride hard for the first 10' then stop pedaling for the 10 seconds it takes to turn on your HRM. Take the avg from that last 20'.
