Hi,
Im currently running theshaimano spd m520's on my road bike and also my hybrid.I wash both the bikes almost weekly and relube chains etc.I was wondering if i should be doing something lube wise to the pedals also and if so what would be best?.I use 2 finish line lubes either the dry wax teflon lube or the wet weather one in the green bottle,would any of these be worth putting on the springs and or cleats and if so how often?

Every once in a while I put a drop of chain lube on things that move on my SPD's. I guess that would be a couple of times a year. I am very sparing because I don't want my pedals and cleats to get gunked up. Seems to make them clip a little more easily.

I give the moving parts (excluding bearings) a drop of chain oil every time I oil the chain. About monthly. Then wipe the exterior dry.

use the PTFE/teflon dry lube. keeps them cleaner because they don't attract dirt.

thanks for the advice guys,i will go and pop a touch of the dry lube on.I have had no problems at all with clipping in and out or anything so far i was just curious if there was something i could/should be doing when with the pedals when im doing my weekly clean.Thanks once again.
