Someone told me they were looking at fitting a Nexus 3 speed hub to an electric bike. I didn't get a chance to ask any questions but it has me intrigued. Any insight into how this would work? I'm a bit confused as to how a hub motor and an internally geared hub can co-exist. Has anyone come across this configuration?

Maybe they meant fitting it on a bike with a front hub motor.

I have an alfine 8 speed internal hub on my ebike. As the above post stated either a front hub will work or as myself something like the cyclone kit that puts a motor in your chainline.

Thanks guys. Yes front motor or chainline makes sense.
