I have just cleaned up a nice vintage bike thats to big for me or Jen.
Its a cannondaleSR 500 in light blue color in size 56 cm. If you know anyone intereted let me know.
Cheers Scott
This link has the specifications. It was a very nice bike in its day and still has lot of miles let in it. It would make a great starter bike for someone for very little money.

Wow, that's awesome. I raced on one of those. I had the smallest one and it looked weird with the big tubing. Which today, looks normal.
1. Need to post picture of actual bike that you plan to sell.
2. You really need to get it in ready to ride condition (tires, tubes, cables). The discount for "almost" ready to ride is about 50%.

There are two different Cannondale SR500s. Both are road bikes and that's were the similarity ends. They are quite different in price as IMHO, one is worth about double what the other is. We need much more information, please post pics or give a complete, detailed description.

This bike appears to match the description in the 86 cataloge (see link). Shimano 600 groupe etc. I have had several folks ask about it so I need some type of number to answer. 50$ ? 200$? Thanks Scott

I sold a Cannondale SR300 last year for $225 in really good but not great/pristine condition. I would think $200-250 would be in the ballpark.

Open a flickr or photobucket account (free) and post your pics there. Then just post a link to your site here.

$150 without a chain. Add a $7 chain, lube and adjust: $225.
A bike without a chain screams neglect. You want the buyer to feel confident about the mechanical condition of the bike. Others will accept it as is, expecting a nice discount. Then they clean it up, add a chain, and repost it for $100 more the next week.

Yeah, that's the early version SR500.
YOU can get $175 to $225 if you add a chain and be sure the tubes hold air. As for ME, I could get over $250 for that bike, no problem.
Why you ask? Cause it's a Carolina blue Cannondale and I live 25 miles from the Chapel Hill campus:D.

The chain was off soaking and was late to the photo shot. I just got done putting it back on nice and clean. Everything else has been adjusted and all systems are running smooth. The tires have been holding air for several days and the wheels are almost true. Thanks for your help. Scott

I like the color. Good looking bike. I'd try to touch up the fork.
