I was searching for a nice already made fixed gear bike and had ome across the cadenza solo. I did a little research and saw that the 2008 had a slight "curve" on one of the tubes, kind of turned me off; the 2009 doesnt have curve. The 2009 looks great but looking at the specs I saw that it gained 6lbs. 2008-25lbs 2009-31lbs. I just dont know which one to get. I saw the 2008 going for 450 on one site with free shipping while thorusa is goin to sell the 2009 for 679 with free shipping also. what do you guys think is better, maybe I could live with the curve, because its $279 cheaper..... Cheers on any other input/info about these bikes would be great!

Getting old model bikes are generally a nice way to go (price wise)... I hadn't heard that Thor was going to get the 2009's in... Thor is clearancing the 2008's at 515 as well.

hmm back to this thread, I was wondering if there was enough clearance to go from 26" wheels to 700C wheels on the cadenza solo. I didn't find specs to compute this answer

It can probably be done but you will have to get brakes to work with the 700's
