Ok I own a giant air compressor . BUT I want a hand floor pump for a couple a reasons ! 1 To fill my Airzound up so I don't blow up the bottle and 2 in case of a power outage I can stil fill up a tire . So whats the best pump for the money and who has the best price on it . I hate junk so Iam looking for all metal and one thagt you don't have to mess with setting for diffrent valves and has a gauge on it . Nashbar has one I like but its NOT on sale and they have NO coupons as far as I can find for free shipping or anything on small orders .

I'm a big fan of the Topeak Joe Blow Pro. I've had one at home for a while and was so impressed I bought another for work. I purchased both of mine from Performance Bike. They currently have the pump on sale for $65 (18% off their usual $80 price) and you can add their $10-off coupon to make the final price $55, which is about the best price you're likely to find.

I bought the Nashbar L'orange few weeks ago and I'm pretty pleased with it. I use a portable compressor most of the time but like you I wanted something that I could just hook up and pump.

I have a Wrench Force, and it's never done me wrong.

I have the BlackBurn AirTower 4. I like it's build, feels solid and looks cool.

I'm able to pump up to 100psi with ease. The last 20 is a little tough.

But it does have one BIG problem. It uses a universal nozzle to fit both presta and shrader valves. If the presta valve is too smooth, it will slip an let air through! So I now only buy tubes with threaded valves.

How many PSI do you need?

I have a Park Tools with the built in gauge for my floor pump. It gets my 23c's to 120 pretty quickly.

Each person will like different things, but mine was a gift, so I think it is perfect.

I have a BlackBurn AirTower, not sure which model number but it has two different holes in it for schader and presta valves. Alluminum body but it has a plastic handle if that is a deal breaker for you. My LBS tells me they have a lifetime warrenty and can be rebuilt so if it ever fails I can take it right back to them. I even used it fill up a car tire once, took FOREVER but it worked. For 50 bucks its hard to go wrong, even has a pressure gage. Like BikeCoder, mine too will let air slip out of a smooth presta valve right about 100psi, threaded valves fix this problem in a jiffy!

I got the Planet Bike STX (http://ecom1.planetbike.com/1006_3.html) for like $30 I think... steel barrel, plunger, and base. Steel is real, right??

Gets my road tires up to 120 psi with no trouble, and I think the pump would be fine going way past that (though probably not my tires). Oh, and the handle is awesome.

I have had quite a few but the best and my favorite is by Specialized. It's always in my truck and friends are always borrowing mine if they need air.

It comes in different models and prices... it's basically the same one recommended by Jesspal. I have had no problems (and I am a chick) pumping up tires to 140 psi.
