Hi all,

I purchased a TrekŪ Energy Cell EXP 350 Dual because it could 5 liters of water. I figured I could go longer distances between rest stops as long as I kept a sports drink in my bottles. Anyway I am going nuts this thing has 2 bladders. One is 3 liters and the other is 2 liters... There is no way I have been able to fill the bladders up to their capacity and still fit them into the back pack. I have also tried filling them while in the pack and still can't fill them to capacity... Anyone have any experience with this pack... I called Trek and they said they tested it and they could?? Well they got to 4 liters and still had plenty of room is what they told me.... Anyway any advice??

Trying to cross Death Valley without support? I can't imagine a scenario where you would need to carry over a gallon of water, never mind the excess weight. Anyway, the fabric probably stretches more than you think it does. Try forcing them a little harder.

LOL Nah It's just after 50 miles everytime I get off the bike for a rest I question whether I want to get back on the torture saddle :).... So the longer I stay on the bike the faster I will finish ;)

Two thoughts. Is the bag designed to hold both bladders at the same time? The size of the 2 bladders being different would seem to indicate that one size is for less water when you don't go as far and the other for more. If that's not the case, then try filling the bladders while IN the backback and fill them equally at the same time by filling one bladder 25% then the other #2 50% then back to the #1 50% then #2 at 25% then top them both off. See if staggering the water fill if that will allow the bags to fill out the backpack better.
