I have been there and I don't want to steal someone else's work. That is why I posted the picture of what I was looking for in the simple white background with the black images.

symbols like that are pretty generic and even if you had someone make them for you they would look like copies of the originals pretty much. You should check out the copyright details. they could be creative commons and since they're just for use on YMCA flyers with limited distribution they should be okay.

I think the Y emblem is a really cool thing, but I would like the generic people for the bike and run portions. And, I don't think we can make much money doing the two color print. But, I will run with the idea and see if I have to get it approved by the YMCA of the USA to put on a t-shirt. I knew there were many more people with better ideas than mine.

Keep it up everyone, these are great things for me. Can I ask what programs you are doing these things in? I don't have anything for software, so I am just curious.

I use GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/downloads/). It is a free (Open Source) graphic manipulation program.


Other free alternatives are: Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/) and Paint.net (http://www.paint.net/)
