Ya'll missed a great ride today. We left my house around 9:30 and went up the ARBT to Iron Point, up Iron Point and over the ridge, through a neighborhood of high priced homes and over the next ridge, then down Green Valley to E Natoma to the ARBT and back. 45 miles, 2100 feet.
This picture was taken on Green Valley after one of the guys had a blowout in the rear tire. He was able to boot it and replace the tube to finish the ride back. Other than that, no trouble at all.
I found out the my Bianchi is slow and harder to ride. Even with the triple, it's more work to climb. It's got to be the heavy, flexy steel frame. That was a lot of work! I was really missing my Colnago.
We were dry until the last 3 miles, then got hit by a squall. Not too wet, but at that point I was glad I had the Bianchi.
