The TOC teams are staying in Sacramento this week, prepping for the race tomorrow. I went and checked out the team trailers, bikes, etc. Saw some of the riders as well, but not as many as I'd hoped :|. Anyway, here are some pics:

I have kind of a noob question relating to the above bike. Looks like a time trial bike that they'll just use in the prologue right? It's got a cool aero water bottle and all but do the racers actually drink water on the 2.5 mile course like this?

there are a bunch of studies out there that suggest a bottle in front of the seat tube is more aero than one without

Team Jelly Belly last time I paid attention (a while ago). It may be someone else now.


My big brush with ToC so far was Frank Pipp and Omer Kem from Bissell stopped my place of business today to say hello to the kids... Being fully respectful of patient confidentiality I didn't take any pics. Sorry.

It was very gracious of them to take time out for the kids. :thumb:

Rock Racing was at the Doubletree, which is where Amgen headquarters for the prologue is ... even though the prologue starts at the other side of town. I saw some Rock Racing folks hang around in the lobby, and even one guy who rode his bike in the lobby, then down a ramp to his room. Didn't recognize who it was, but it was cool.

Yeah it was JB.

Oh my wife met Lance and Team Astana this morning. They're staying downtown, right next to her pub. She walked out in to the back alley and they were just sitting there prepping to go out for a ride. She msg'd me "I just met Lance!!!!" :( :(
