I need an integrated headset for a 1 1/8" steerer tube. The headset needs to be 40.0 mm OD. The head tube OD where it flares at the ends to accommodate the headset is 45.0 mm. It's a Torelli Express frame and I have been able to gather that it accepts a "campy" style headset. The Campy Record headsets that I have been able to find for sale online all have OD greater than 40.0 mm. Most seemto be 41.8 or 42.0 mm OD. Same with Ritcheys that I have found.
HELP! I am dying to finish this build.
Thanks

measure it to be sure.
call Torelli to confirm, sounds to me like it could be a Columbus type headset?

edit:
looks to take a standard headset.

Thanks for the helpful ideas. After spending too much time looking online, all I can come up with is that the headset must be an integrated 1 1/8" with OD of 41.0 mm (even though I measure 40.0 mm) and bearing seat angle in the head tube of 45 degrees. I concluded 41.0 mm as there are no headsets or bearings I can find advertised at 40.0 mm. I've almost got a hybrid headset that works, using parts from both a Cane Creek IS8 (just the bearings) and other parts from a Cane Creek S3. The only lacking feature on my hybridized headset is an overlapping external seal that covers the gap between the top cap and top of the head tube. I think I can fix that with a top cap from an IS8 (which I don't have at hand). I'll go to the LBS tomorrow and ask. As yet, I can get no response from the folks at Torelli. Not to disparage them, they have been very helpful otherwise; probably need more time to respond to my queries. These travails will serve to endear this rig all the more after she's up and running.

Thanks very much for the link. I had contacted Torelli and received no response. But, it has been only one day. Christian Feldhake has been very helpful in the past. One thing I have learned through this process is that there are many mechanics, like you folks who have helped, who graciously give of their time, experience and expertise to help other cyclists like me. Were I not such a misanthropic cynic, you woul restote my faith in humanity. Thanks.
