It's the fricking day before Valentine's day. No one cares that it's Friday the 13th. They're all out getting flowers and making dinner reservations.

As usual, this Friday the 13th was a good day. In my experience, they tend to be. I look forward to them.

I beg to differ, although it is indeed a day before Valentines day MANY people care that its Friday the 13th, just not you ;) My wife and I went out to the casinos as we'll be busy all day tomorrow getting our three male cats back and forth from the vet (they'll be getting that operation that makes all men cringe!) so we figured why not do the Valentines day thing a day early? Well what do you think happens? my wife hits for $695.00! BooYa! See, Friday the 13th isn't all bad luck! :p

It's still Friday on the west coast, and on my way home earlier a white cat crossed my path. After I pet it for a while, it even walked next to me for about half a block. I've had cats most of my life, and they never do that (unless you're feeding them or letting them outside).

Not that I consider it bad luck but Friday the 13 was my birthday and I turned 40. There was a wooden casket in front of my mailbox announcing the passing ov my youth. I guess it beats the alternative though.

I'm a little late posting this...but did you realize that the 13th is more likely to fall on a Friday than on any other day of the week?

This happened on Thursday, but late enough in the work day so it was on the 13th GMT...
My laptop battery caught fire while I was working in a client's garage (it's not even one of the notorious Dells) and by the time I had yanked the battery out and was running out into the street with it, it had flames coming out the end. These clients are an elderly couple and know almost nothing about computers.... I doubt this incident will make them feel any more attracted to them.:twitchy:

Amazingly, the laptop seems to be OK even though lots of smoke came out through the keyboard.

My undestanding is that the fumes from a Li-ion battery can be fatal with delayed reation. Get to a doctor. Seriously.
