I've had no problems with mine for 9.5 yrs. But I've been having problems with them for the past 6 months or so. Reason: Text messaging. When I renewed my family plan last year, I also upgraded all of the phones. The new phones have a lot more bells and whistles than the old phones did. Anyways, I told the provider at the time of upgrade/renewal that I did not want texting on any of the 3 lines, incoming or outgoing.
At first they did a tap dance saying that they could not do that, saying that we would have to simply keep adding to the blocked list on each of the phones (while being billed for those incoming texts).:twitchy: My wife looked them straight in the eye and told them they were full of it. So it was determined that they had that capability after all.
But for the last 3 months, we've been receiving incoming texts. Each billing cycle, we charged for them. Each billing cycle, we go to the local store and go 'wtf'? After they look into the matter, they realize they made a mistake and reverse the charges. If had been just one time, I would be okay with that. But 3 months in a row (and counting)?!?
Now I'm wondering if I have grounds to break my contract. Anybody got any ideas?
