I found a good condition Schwinn paramount s2(PGD), but im not sure if its a good deal. Its gonna be my first road bike and looking at one of the catalogs it has shimano 500 components.

also does anyone know what size wheelset they came with? and if they can use 700c?

They came originally with 700C wheels.
Original wheels were Araya SS-45, 700 x 20C, Silver Anodized, 32h, Presta Valve rims on Shimano 500EX, 32h QR hubs and 14 ga stainless steel spokes. Original tires were Paramount Pro Circuit, 700 x 23C, Dual Hard, Semi-Bald, 115psi Skinwall, Presta Valve.
