Southern California - Organized Rides in San Diego?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I will be in San Diego on a business trip for the next three weeks, and was wondering if there are any organized rides between now and March 8? Searched Ride Date, but didn't see anything except for a century in Santa Clarita, and one in Ventura. Kind of a long way to drive for a century ride.

www.sdbc.org (http://www.sdbc.org) has 50 mile saturday morning training rides of various paces....the A group is a cat 2/3 race pace at times, also several slower and shorter rides.

I is thinking about it. It qualifies on my list:
1) My backyard
2) I have never attend it
3) It's a century
4) It's not flat
I'll probably sign up later this week, just watching the weather.

Are there any convenience stores on the route?
Early on and later in the ride... the rest of it is deep into East County = Desolate Death. Also the 60th mile is near Viejas! Ey carumba (sp)!
Always a good resource: http://www.bbcnet.com/RideCalendar/ridelistdate.asp
Enjoy your stay!

at about mile 42 when you would turn right on Lyons Valley rd...turn left...go about 1.5 miles down, there is a store on the right that has everything you would need. turn around and head back on route.
the next stop after that is at about mile 62ish.
I have done this route from the 30 mile mark out several times. the "great western" as they call most of the route used to be my team route every saturday.

I'm in, weather or no. The route info states there's rest stops every 20-25 miles. Is that enough for you?
