last year i got a pretty good response to this from you socal users.. many of you from the socal forums donated quite a few items and i got to meet users briansorell and alicestrong for the first time, and it was the beginning of an awesome friendship. anyhow, this is a repost from LAfixed.com ...

Anyone who was able to join us last year knows what a huge success this ride/raffle/benefit really was.

This ride is going to be held on Sunday April 5th at 12:30pm. If you can't make it, you can't make it...we understand. For convenience purposes, the start and end point of this ride will be at the Chinatown Train Station. That's good news for the CM/OC contingent as your train stops just a few blocks from there.

For a detailed map of the route please CLICK HERE (Route forthcoming).

This year we have decided to have artwork submitted by all of you artists out there & then voted upon on LA Fixed. The last day for submitting your work will be March 1st. Please submit in jpeg form with a width no larger than 500 to kevintherobot@gmail.com. I will then post it on LA fixed to be voted on.

We're going to have tshirts for sale with the original artwork. All the money will be going directly to Mike. We're also going to have a raffle. If you have ANYTHING to donate of ANY value we encourage you to donate it. Raffle tickets will be 2 bucks a ticket.

Hope to see EVERYONE come out for a good cause. I appreciate it...and I'm sure Mike does as well.this is for a great cause. mike's mom keeps us updated on LAfixed and is in such high spirits, even with all she's been through. if anyone here can donate anything for the raffle that would be great. we also hope to see some of you at the ride, that's some of the best support you can give. thanks!

Yeah dave, I want to go. We're quite a lot more organized here in the IE this year, so probably a bunch of folks from IEFixed will show up too. At the very least, I'll throw some cash or prizes toward the event.

Since you put it that way dave, how can I miss this??!!

Tanya is in. Greg is in. And I'm going to see if we can get a bunch of the locals to take the train out. No doubt they will be excited to do it.

how long of a ride is it? and is there a suggested donation amount? i'd love to contribute and meet some new people while going on my first group ride. i'll bring some of my fellow newbie riders along for the journey! plus i stay a few metro stops away from the chinatown stop on the goldline!

Last year it was about 20 miles (if my memory serves me) very relaxed pace.

Look here. (http://lafixed.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=7736&page=1)..

I might go if I don't get the fit of the lazies tomorrow. It'll be a good chance to take my new bike out on a proper spin and get lots of pics. :p
