hi forum, i have just got the trek ach computer on my bike, set it all up and paired in all the sensors, great....

then tested it down the road, the cadance worked fine as did the heart rate (after playing with the strap), the speed also worked BUT it said i was travelling at 30mph!!!! bearing in mind im bear footed and really just seeing if the sensors are working!!!!

any ideas would be great, i bet it is something really silly that i have over looked.....

Make sure the computer is set to the correct wheel size.

yeah checked the wheel sizing, its a 700-23c and the wheel size chart from the trek suggests 2096

how far should the magnet be down the forks? would this even make a difference?

You said paired in so I'm assuming wireless?

Distance _might_ matter but it shouldn't show up as extra speed it shoudl show up as none.

Is it possible you swapped sensors and your speed sensor is by your cranks or some such?
You don't have the magnet from your old computer still on the bike also?

good ideas and checked but no, the only thing i can see is the sensor facing the wrong way round, ie backward facing on the fork (it was so i could get to the batttery when it needed replacing

will go off and try moving the sensor, many thanks....

great result, silly matter over looked.... the speed sensor on the front fork was on the back side of the fork, changed it to the front side of the fork and now works fine, not sure why tho.

thanks again for all your comments, just need to know a good training program now for cycling end-to-end (lands end/john o groats) as WILL be getting sponsers to help cancer reasearch, sometime next year. any one done it or can help me???
