My Niterider Digital Pro 6 (6V system) recently stopped working. I checked the battery and cables and am getting 6.7 volts to the light. When I plug it in, nothing happens. Before contacting Niterider, I'm wondering if it's just a burnt out bulb. The digital fuel gauge doesn't light up. Would a burnt out bulb do this or is there a more serious issue, and I'm stuck sending it in for repair?

Thanks.

If the fuel gauge doesn't light up, its almost certainly more than the bulb. On the other hand, NR will sell you a bulb off their website for $20+/-, but not the other innards. If you send it in for repair they have a $40 bench fee before they'll even look at your light, so it might be a cheap gamble to just get a bulb first. Even if it doesn't work, at least you've got a spare.

power to bulb, no light=bad bulb. You can always check the continuity across the 2 terminals on the bulb, no cont.=bad bulb
