hi all,

I've finally gotten a hitch for my civic and i'm trying to decide on which bike rack to get to carry up to 2 bikes. I've read good reviews of the 1up USA bike rack and the Sportworks bike racks. For the Sportworks, I was looking at the Mod seriers. I'll appreciate any suggestions/experiences with the above bike racks. By the way, on mtbr.com there's a lot of comments on the older 1up USA rack. If anyone can share their experiences with the newer version, that'll be great too.

thanks

I have a Sportworks mod. I have had it for about two years and have no complaints at all. I went with the Mod so I could just have a single rack and just leave it on the car (SUV).

The great thing is that it takes about 10 - 15 seconds to load and unload the bike. You also don't have to take the front wheel off and have a nasty wheel in your car.

I just got the MOD series a couple weeks ago (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=50195&highlight=finally+rack). I love it. I only have one tray cuz i only have one bike. Also go to MTB REview. (http://www.mtbreview.com/reviews/Bike_Rack/product_78550.shtml) You can read my review there. It is the latest review.

Also I couldn't believe the reasons some of the reviewers downgraded this rack. One guy complained because you had to use a bolt to mount the rack. If you can't install a large bolt into a threaded hole you have some major problems. Let me know if you have any questions.
