Northeast - Looking for riding buddies in the Lehigh Valley

I want to ride with another person or two to switch up the routine. I figure this will create more/better routes and different routines for myself. I anywhere from 10-50 on normal days and will ride well over that if touring. Pretty much ALWAYS up for a ride. I live right in downtown Bethlehem. Let me know if you'd like to ride sometime.

Funny you posted this, because I was going to do pretty much the exact same thing ha.

I live in Emmaus, PA. I'm taking this semester off from Temple U and totally need some riding buddies for the area to keep me motivated and progressing as a rider. I know a few nice routes around the area 30-50 miles and am totally open to exploring anywhere and everywhere.

Let me know if you wana meet up sometime or recruit some other fellow cyclists.

Brian, this sounds good. I live right in downtown Bethlehem but dont really have a vehicle to start the ride off anywhere else. We can meet up somewhere. I know most of the towpaths, bike paths and touring routes around. At least so I thought, but I normally just wing my rides depending on day, weather and time. It would be nice to have a couple of routine rides.

Best way to get in touch?

I have a friend that could keep up and would be willing on occasional rides, but he has way less time. I also met some guy in a local bar that actually lives here in Bethlehem and works in Emmaus that rides. I should give him a call and see if we can try to get a nice little small group ride.

Either way, always good to meet new people doing the same things I am.

Hi, I live in Hellertown and wouldn't mind finding someone to ride with occasionally. I have a Gary Fisher "Comfort Bike" that I have set up for touring and running Rails to Trails. I've done the Lehigh Canal ride numerous times as well as the Perkiomen Trail from Green Lane to Valley Forge and back. I've done a couple of 50 mile rides but have gotten older & more out of shape over the winter so I'll have to work back up to those distances again. I did 15 miles today with an average speed of 10.8 mph but it was the 1st "real" ride of the season. I'm not looking to race, I just like to get out and enjoy the scenery, get some exercise, relieve some stress, and ride. Let me know if you'd want to ride sometime.

Hey Bill, I am very close to you and right over the Minsi Trail bridge away. I also run similar ride but on more of a road/hybrid. I ride the LVTP quite often and have even toured more than half of the country. It would be great having somebody to ride with even if it is occasionally. I can ride ride at any pace recreational-b speed or so. Let me know. I will probably be out there and I was considering going to SVbikes on my ride.

As "luck" would have it as of Friday I'll be out of work (laid off) and will have plenty of time to ride. Maybe we can get together in a couple of weeks and ride the canal or something. Thanks! I'll be in touch.
