I have a Profile BMX Hub,

and a White Industries Freewheel,

But the threading on the Hub is less than that on the Freewheel. Weren't the hubs designed to take a regular sized freewheel? Why wouldn't Profile make hubs that fully engage the freewheel?

I think that Streetrider has misunderstood the question, both the freewheel and the hub have standard threading.

I think that the freewheel probably threads on fine but the threaded portion of the hub is quite short so that there is quite a bit of the threaded section of the freewheel that is not actually in contact with the hub. I am not sure that this is actually a problem, there is probably enough contact to hold the freewheel. Some of the guys I race with use the same Profile hub with White freewheels and they don't seem to have any issue with it.
