I have just not had the opportunity to post lately.

Update for those of you who've read the "ghetto stories" thread, I'm in my new place now, and still getting situated, forever organized, figuring out just how much stuff can fit in my one room apt. and what should go in storage.

Spent last weekend at two swap meets, got some cool stuff. Down to three bikes (attempted simplification of my life), my coaster brake, my banana seat bike, and my Cannondale, which I'm still trying to sell. Rebuilding a fixed gear road bike currently. (Schwinn LeTour)

Anyway, got a bunch of cool stuff at the swap meets. Two free frames (both girls, but still cool, and hey, I guess I could pull it off), a black two speed (originally 2 speed kickback) Schwinn frame from the 40's, and a blue and white Schwinn Spitfire cruiser from the 50's. Also got two big boxes of assorted new forks for $10 (approximately 50 forks), some seats, cranks, stems...I think I spent more money on food those days!

Debating doing a mohawk again.

Getting ready for my summer of commuting a few days a week (if laziness doesn't set in) about 3-4 miles one way. That's not to work, though.

Love my new place.

Stressed but happy.

Almost have a B.A. Almost..... !!!

Becoming a poet?

Sometimes my bike sleeps next to me. We love each other.

Why am I telling you this?

You like your new place? Is it safer than the last place?

DO THE MOHAWK AGAIN!!

Trust me when you get older you will be so happy that you did crazy stuff like that and that you have fun being who you are! I loved my mohawk, every color of the rainbow at some point.

Now that I am older the hairline starts to go and then you think about how cool it was that at some point you were able to do something like that. Now I just think about shaving my head all the time...

Its always nice to simplify ones life...

Go ahead. Shave it. I did a couple of years ago and I love it.

Naw, totally shaved. The hairline started to go over the hill, so I decided to take charge of the situation. I didn't want to do the Donald Trump comb over so I did the Schick Slick. The van is just that, a van.
