Howdy, I have been trying to find a decent cross bike, however I cannot find one that is a fair price. I need a 56cm, and am hoping for like 800 dollars.

Try bikesdirect, Kona Jake or the lower end of the Specialized Tricross range.

I was going to recommend BD as well, but didn't want to start a war. :) Their single-speed cross bike has my interest right now.

There's Redline Conquest Pro 56cm on there right now... You can try Seattle or the Northeast as well.
