I would like to get a portable bike stand like the one pictured here::

What is the exact name of this stand (Portable bike stand? One piece bike stand?. . .)

Who manufactures this?

Do you know of any bike shops that carry this item? (like where can I order/buy this thing)

Thanks!

Most bike shops have them. They use them to display bikes on the sales floor. I have one that my LBS sold me for $10 about a dozen years ago. I use it for basic lube/ cleaning jobs on my bikes. I believe its called a display stand. Go to any good shop, they will probably sell you one right off the floor.

Ohhh, thankyou. I'd buy it from the guy on e-bay, but I have a favorite LBS that I like to buy from, even if they are a little more.

And basic maintenance is just what I want it for. Leaning it against our busses and trying to keep it from falling over while cleaning the chain and such is getting pretty old.

Thanks again!

I had two that I threw away. After it slips and your nice bike crashes to the floor, you will go looking for something better.

Ditto.
I paid $10 for mine, use it every time I lube the chain or remove the rear wheel.
