If only I was just a little taller... cause if I could buy it I'd have to ride it.

I miss Sheldon...
Indeed. Things aren't quite the same without him. Every now and then I still get a moment where I and the people I know can't figure something out, and I suddenly realize that I can e-mail him... but then I realize that I can't anymore.
As future technology will hit the market and Sheldon will not be around to teach us, we will be missing him even more.

Then I would surmise that we will need to investigate innovations that come down the road. And share, via publication, what we find. Perhaps none of us singularly have the genius-component that Sheldon was born with - but, as a collective, we can communicate with each other our findings.
The real key that Sheldon had (has) was the communications. Sheldon could draw a visual diagram in our heads with his words. He was able to make clear verbally (and written) what we were trying to grasp. THAT is a gift. I would suggest that we work to polish our skills in this area. Practice writing, prose, and visual styling in our sentence structure. In simple terms: Try to paint a picture with words.
I'm sure he would have cheered us on. This isn't only about bicycle-mechanics - it's about sharing freely and co-existence. These are things Sheldon also gave a flying about. Getting along and avoiding confusion.
Ride In Peace, Sheldon. I'll do my best to carry on for the next generations.

Beautiful bike. It seems like a pretty tight wheelbase for a tour/sport model. Gorgeous, though.

I dunno. There is enough clearance between the rear tire and the seat tube to fit full coverage fenders with space left over so the wheelbase can't be that short.
