Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It looks like there are at least three 30 min specials about his preperations for the TdF 04. Everything from keeping the sponsors happy to sitting in the wind tunnel. Even caught a look at the new aero helmet for this year.

It's on OLN-TV too.
Some scenes are not for the squeamish. Like last week when LA was slathering butt buttr on his chamois. ICK!

Hang on. I forgot he explicity stated that he could not reveal the brand of chamois creme because he wasn't paid to do so.

Yeah, but he did show off the container... I don't imagine it would be that hard to find, if its marketed as chamois cream... One minute on google, and I found this... :)

Although the brand was not stated, based on the color and consistency of the material it was Assos Chamois Cream. Morover, if you were watching closely enough the camera-man adjusted the focus on his lense enough for viewers to clearly see it was an Assos Chamois Cream container that Lance put back on the counter.
Probably one of the more expensive chamois creams on the market (and the most expensive cycling shorts) and, if I had to guess, right now it's about to become one of the more difficult products to get your hands on given it's cameo appearance on the Lance Chronicles.
As for "ick", no "ick" is when you spend several hours a day in the saddle sweating on a road bike and don't use Chamois Creame or some other treatment.
Can you guess what other products might start seeing a sales boost as a result of their appearance on the Lance Chronicles? Let's see, Sheryl Crow albums, er CDs, Denim Field Jackets, Berkies...
I started using the Assos cream last year, and give it 2 thumbs up also! Now where's my endorsement money!!!! :D Seriously, it is good stuff.

It seems like the Assos stuff has more "medication" in it. It has a real cool feeling when applied, and I've had zero problems since I started using it last year. Give it a shot. If you're like me, you'll stick with it.
Good luck!
