I'm going to check this lovely out tonight after work and maybe buy her. Anything I should know about it?

Made in Mexico - many of the Mexican Benottos have frame failure issues due to overheating. Doesn't mean it's 100% destined to fail, but something to take into account. At the very least, I'd check the seattube-bottom bracket junction area for signs of cracks forming. (Personally, I'd avoid unless it's available really inexpensively). I do dig the Ital ... er, Mexican flag fade paint scheme.

So, $250.00 Cdn a good price? Guy says it's in mint conditon.

That sounds fair, if it's in good shape. If you can talk the seller down a little, even better.

Yeah, problem is, I'm in a bidding war with someone else on the bike. The price started out at 200, now I'm gonna have to go to 250. I might just have to let it go.

Huge frame, are you about 6'3 or so? I think it will look nice without those tri-bars on it.

Also check the forks where they go into the crown for cracks. I experienced a double leg failure on my Benotto. The cracks had originated on the trailing edges, right below the crown. At the moment of failure, the fork legs pivoted forward until the tire began braking against the centre bolt of the front brake. Got a bit lucky there.

Yeah, I passed on this bike. Gonna wait on something a little more my size (I'm six foot).
