Hello,

I just picked up a 2004 poprad and I had the shop put a trek rear rack on it. When I brought it home and went for a ride I found that my legs bump into it when I pedal so I took it off. Is there a different rack that sits a little further back that might work better?

Thanks.

I did a tour last Sep with a poprad and used a Jandd expedition rack. A thousand miles and no problems.

It looks like a great rack.

Please tell me about touring with the poprad. What made you choose the poprad? How was it set up? Did you run into any problems? Do you have pictures? Do you have advice for other poprad owners?

Thanks.

I chose the poprad because I got a good price on the leftover frame from a lbs and before the thought of touring. Setup was a mix of 105 sti levers, ultegra cranks, ultegra b&b & fr der, xt rr der & cassette (11-34). I swapped the small ring for a 26t. Wheels were mavic op w/36h & 700x32. The poprad and all components perfomed with no problems and I liked it very much. I did do some maintenance every few days so maybe that helped. This was a credit card tour so I only had rear panniers and a bar bag so I don't know how it would perform with front rack and panniers.

Unfortunately, UPS damaged the frame in shipping it back, but they paid me for it and now the components are on the leftover Trek 520 I picked up.
