Hadn't used my folding bike for other than utility rides and errands for a while. Decided to take the Jetstream XP out for a ride this morning. Did just over an hour and half riding up and down the beach and all the little roads just off the beach.

Normally I'm a guy intent on getting a workout on the bike but for once I took it easy and stopped and took photos when something caught my eye. It was a different sort of ride for me and maybe the best ride I've had in some time.

Got home and had kidsitting duties while my wife is off doing her thing with her friends. Then the kid took off leaving me on my own. Took the three folding bikes I had here at the house and washed them all and lubricated them and did a once over safety check on them and even managed to loosen a few bolts and re-torque them. Then snuck in a quick utility ride on my kids Ignio folder that I bought a while back and built up.

I'm getting ready to turn the Ignio into an 8 speed. Found some guy selling a Dahon that's got some frame damage but otherwise in great shape. Gave him $25 for the bike but the wheels, cassette, derailleur, cranks, shifter, etc. are all in great shape.

I saw that Ignio folder over at the SportsDepo.
Good luck on the rebuild! & watchout for the hub width on the front forks.
The Dahon front could be narrower than the Ignio..

Lemme guess, you cruised around Araha beach park area?
I work right by there.. ; )
