I can't believe that this has me stumped so bad. I am mechanically inclined, but I'm wondering if I'm supposed to have a long socket to get into the foot peg to tighten the nut back onto the wheel/frame? Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.

You might have better luck posting this in the BMX section.

In the shop we use a socket extender and a big ratchet.

Thanks. I didn't think about an extender... I'll try that. This is for my daughters bike.

You'll probably need a deep socket too. Otherwise, the axle will push the socket off of the axle nut before you get it tight.

Good luck!
