Cyclocross - Removing tubulars glued "belgian style" sucks

So... for any of you who used the "belgian method" of gluing this fall advertised by cyclocrossworld.com and are now trying to get your wheels ready for some road racing. Getting the bits of that tape off the rim sucks hard. Just sharing.

Tubulars are pretty much obsolete. Good clinchers can be had that are light and fast and even pros ride on them on race day.

Surely you mean tubulars are obsolete in road racing, right? If not, I will have to tell most of the people I race with on Sunday afternoons that they need to make the conversion to clinchers for cx. It could take awhile!

If the tape is stuck to the rim; Acetone and a q-tip, or a flux brush if you have one. Dab a little acetone behind the tape and pull. Repeat untill the tape is gone. I've done this twice with no ill effect. Cuts the suck factor bigtime. Just sharing. :D
