Nothing spectacular. Not amazing climbing, or speed, or weather. Just your everyday rain, light wind, and ~6500' in elevation. (almost half of it contained in the middle 1/3 of the ride.)

101.11 miles
7h 44m 45s

Redmond Ridge to Bainbridge Island and back via the Burke Gilman trail, to ride the Chilly Hilly.

32.5mi out/back
33mi Chilly Hilly w/ 2700' climbing
Worst hills weren't part of Chilly Hilly:
- Marion Ave to 6th Ave coming off the ferry. Hors category pitch for .33mi immediately after a 20min cool-down on the ferry ride from the island.
- Novelty Hill. Sure I do this 2.25mi, 600' climb 4 days a week... but not after 96 miles.

You can check out videos from the ride at My Qik Video Page. (http://www.qik.com/cliftongk1)

Congrats! I rode with someone on Saturday who did his first-ever century (I only tagged along for just under 40 miles of his route). I think I still have a full month of riding to do before I would even consider attempting one this year.

For a century around here, 5000' is about average. 3500' is considered "not much climbing". Without just doing laps around the velodrome, I can't think of a loop route that wouldn't hit at least 3000'. I guess I'm basing it on the fact that I did a bunch of 7000+ centuries last year.

Awesome job, wish i had the opportunity to climb like that.
And I wish I could do a flat FLA century ride. The last one I did like that was the Hancock Horizontal Hundred, back in NW Ohio. One hill: A freeway overpass; that's it. It goes through farming country, so it's corn for 2 years, then soybeans for 2 more. Break up the scenery with some cows here and there.
BTW - Awesome job on your 5h 16m rolling finish! Holy Moses that is just scary fast!

Yeah if you seem my fat arse on the bike it is even scarier. Gravity pulling my gut down on the bike is definately not the most flattering sight.
