I'm sorry I haven't had any experiance with them I would like to see some feedback on them I don't want to just buy them I would like to try them
I have the Third-Eye Micro-Mirror which is a similar dot-mirror. I was having a hard time getting it positioned right with my wrap-around sunglasses and finally gave up. It would also be a problem because I sometimes swap out my lenses depending on lighting conditions.
ngateguy, if you want, you can try mine. Remind me before our next ride.

I have attached the Viewpoint mirror to my new Ruddies..Yes, they are not as reliable as my old Take A Look mirror. But, those style mirrors do not attach to the temples of my new sunglasses.
To make the Viewpoints work, you have to really work with them. micro adjustments makes a big difference.
I placed my mirror about 9 mm below the bow of my glasses and about 12 mm in from the left edge of the sunglass lenses. The curvature of the sunglasses might make a big difference. And the angle at which you set the Viewpoint mirror is a big factor.
A rule of any mirror. Line it up so you can view just an outline of your face. You have to play with them..Such close angles, they are tempermental. In my case, it seems the only option I have for a mirror, unless I mount one on my helmet, which I find shaky.
I thought I'd resurrect this old thread. I bought a Viewpoint mirror and have been trying it out. I finally got it to work by putting it close to the middle of the lense. When in the lower left hand corner of the lense, like the pictures show, I can't get it work. But moving it toward the middle puts it closer to the eye. It actually does work very well. The drawback is having a tiny mirror in front (not directly, but only slightly to the left) of your eye is distracting when looking forward. I have Nashbar glasses with interchangable lenses. I put the Viewpoint on the clear ones. With it so close to my eye I get a big field of view from the tiny mirror. I have to say that I'll probably get used to it and use it more than other mirrors.
I went mirror crazy last year. I have the Take a Look eyeglass mirror, Cycle Aware Reflex helmet mirror and the bar end mirror from Cycle Aware. I've also tried, unsuccesfully, handle bar mounted mirrors.
The helmet mirror has been my favorite up to this point. Though it moves around some, overall it has been useful and reliable. I had to use Liquid Nails to glue the base down, as the sticky tape on the pad eventually wears off. After gluing it, it has stayed put.
The Take-a-Look works well too, but I prefer the helmet mirror probably because it's further away from my face, which is less distracting.
The barend mirror, the Vubar is completely worthless. It folds in the middle and completely distorts the image when unfolded. And it will not stay in place. Total waste of money.
I'll use the Viewpoint for a while to see if I can tolerate it being in front of my eye. If I get used to it, it'll be the best one. Very good field of view, and it doesn't move at all. And it's tiny and out of the way.
Has anyone gotten the Viewpoint or similar mirror to work by mounting it in the lower left corner of your lenses like the pictures show?

As I said mine is more toward the middle. If I could get it to work as the photo shows it would be perfect, but wouldn't the field of view be tiny? For me I could see nothing out of it in that position.

:) Hi, UPON RECEIVING THE MIRROR MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS THAT THERE WAS NO WAY THAT THIS TINY MIRROR WOULD DO WHAT THE COMPANY CLAIMED. I HAVE TO SAY THAT I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. AFTER EXPERIMENTING FOR A WHILE I FOUND THAT THE BEST WAY TO MOUNT THIS MIRROR TO MY SUNGLASSES WAS TO MOUNT THE HIGH SIDE OF THE MOUNTING BASE FACING RIGHT & TURNED SLIGHTLY COUNTER CLOCKWISE SO THAT THE HIGH SIDE IS FACING IN ABOUT THE 2 O'CLOCK POSITION. I MOUNTED IT ABOUT 1/2 WAY UP ON THE LEFT LENS & ABOUT 1/8" FROM THE EDGE OF THE SUNGLASS FRAME. THIS ENABLES ME TO CLEARLY SEE ANY TRAFFIC TO MY LEFT. IT'S A BIT TRICKY DEALING WITH THE SMALL STICKY PADS THAT COME WITH THE MIRROR. BY THE TIME THAT I FINALLY GOT IT POSITIONED EXACTLY WHERE I WANTED THE STICKY PAD WAS HARDLY HOLDING THE MIRROR TO THE LENS BECAUSE OF MY HANDLING IT. THERE WAS NO WAY THAT I WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE LEAVING IT ATTACHED WITH THE FIRST PAD. IF THIS MIRROR FALLS OFF WHILE YOU ARE RIDING, IT WOULD BE LIKE FINDING A NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK. IT IS SOOO TINY. THEY DO GIVE YOU A SPARE BUT I FOUND THAT I WAS ABLE TO MAKE MY OWN USING DOUBLE SIDED TAPE THAT WAS NOT TOO THICK & WITH A PAPER PUNCH I MADE AS MANY STICKY PADS AS I WANTED & THEY SEEM TO WORK JUST FINE. I FIND THAT IT IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT & I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
New Winner here. Not only a 4 year old thread, but typed in all-caps with no paragraphs.
Yay.

I have one and it works pretty well. But like others, I had a problem with the base falling off so I used a piece of velcro with sticky tape on one side. That has fixed the problem. It takes a little fiddling to get it right but once you're familiar with the mirror, it works as advertised.

What type of sunglasses work best with these? I was going to order some from performancebike (sunglasses, already have the mirror). But I don't know how to tell how much wrap around they have by looking at pics.

Hi,
I've been using the CycleAware ViewPoint Mirror for about 2 mos. & I can honestly say that it works great. At first I was very sceptical because of it's small size but once I got it in the right spot on my glasses it made all the difference in the world. It does take a bit of experimenting but it's well worth the effort. I found that the tiny sticky pads that come with the mirror are too delicate & they just didn't hold well at all. I experimented with double sided tape that I punched out with an ordinary hole puncher. I was then able to try different positions on my sunglasses until I found the perfect spot. I still did not feel comfortable with the mirror being held in place with a sticky pad so when I was certain of the positioning I removed the sticky pad & put a drop of crazy glue & carefully positioned it in the same spot. I know it was kind of drastic to glue it on but at least I know that it's not going to fall off while I'm riding. Hope this helps...Fred

Do you man parked cars or people turning in front of you? I ride country roads in the dark with appropriate lighting but still the cars coming up behind me are the ones I worry about if they are not paying attention. I ride near the middle of the lane then move over towards the line on the edge when they get closer hoping not only to get out of the way in case they are not paying attention but to be more noticeable by moving. Sometimes I get snuck up on when not glancing at the mirror as often as I thought I was. So thought these would help by getting something in my periphrial like headlights to get my attention.
Also, when I start racing I thought mirrors would help so I don't cut somebody off but maybe I'm wrong. And these would be the most aerodynamic option/crash resistant. I already have had them for a month or so anyway trying to find glasses to fit them but everything looks like they wrap around alot to me.
Mirror works well but is very sensitive to micro adjustments. If you want better sticky tape go to the auto parts store and get some thin 2 sided trim tape as it's much more sensitive than the tape supplied. In fact it's kind of tough to pull the mirror off when using this type of tape.
