I can believe that. Rednecks are everywhere! Right down the road from me, about a mile away, is the perfect redneck house. Christmas icicle decorations hanging from the roof in mid-June, old cars in varied states of disrepair sitting in the yard, a Rebel flag flying proudly from a flagpole in the yard, about 15 dogs running around all over the place, and people (clothed about like the people in the pictures of this thread) sitting out on the front porch watching the cars go by at all hours of the day or night. I would have taken a picture of the place to post on this thread if I was not afraid the inhabitants of the house who are always sitting on the front porch would be offended.

I have not gazed at the folks on the porch too closely, for fear that I might hear a familiar little 5th grader's voice yelling "Hi, Ms. Vicki" when I amble by on my morning walks.

Seriously, I poke fun at rednecks, but I am sure some folks have thought of me as a redneck before, too, simply because I live out in the country in east Texas. We need all kinds of folks in this world of ours to make things interesting!

Oh ya, for the record when I was at my last job, I had one person try to convert me to being a liberal with "you are the poorst republican ever" (he was refering to my income) When I changed jobs back in the end of 2003, I more then doubled my pay, and I am not mid middle class now.
