Bicycle Mechanics - What tool do I need? #1

I’m un-sure which tools to use to remove the crank and cartridge sealed BB on my bike. The specs are here:

The crank bolt in the picture displays a 12.9. I guess that’s a 13 or 12 socket?

They are usually 15mm. But who knows, maybe yours is smaller?
You'll need a crank puller.

Those are usually 14mm socket.

12.9 is the grade of the bolt, not the size.

It looks pretty standard- if so then you'll need a 14 mm or 15 thin-walled socket to remove the bolt, and a crank puller to remove the crank. Don't despair, these are relatively inexpensive tools. Buy them locally, then if they don't fit, you can take them back. Also, there are a few sizes of threads in cranks for the puller to thread into, but it's likely you have the most common version (22x1mm):

Then you'll need the tool for unscrewing the BB cartridge itself- I can't see it in the picture, but you probably will want a Shimano-style tool-

So that’ll take the crank bolt out then all I need to do is remove the cartridge sealed bottom bracket and re-grease the bearings, which is what I’m wanting to do.

No, a socket takes the bolt out. The puller pulls the crank off.
You don't regrease cartridge bottom brackets. You throw them away and put in a new one.

Okay, but it’s removable to check for water interference?

you will need tools to take apart the bottom bracket too. :D

It's only $15 for a similar quality replacement. I'd be in the if it ain't broke don't fix it camp.
Unless you want to take it apart for fun or for a learning experience, or a fun learning experience, then it's not worth it.

So I’ve bought some sockets, and I’ve also bought the crank puller. Is that all I need for now?

Yes, but as noted, in order to remove the bottom bracket, you'll also need to buy a BB tool, probably something like this: http://www.parktool.com/products/detail.asp?cat=25&item=BBT-22

Without a photo of what you are seeing once the cranks are out of the way, Mondoman may be correct on his guess, but don't buy one until you (or we) confirm the identity of the bottom-bracket.

With a crankset like that? 99.9% sure it's a shimano cart type square taper. Although I can almost convince myself that there's a bb lockring in that picture as well.
