Not my house any more...

The house my parents built in 1966 (and I lived in until 1984) is up for sale.

http://www.habitatboom.com/index.php?action=listingfeed&listingID=1368561

The fireplace is in an exposed basement, the ceramic tile there was added when my mom worked for the tile company and covers the entire basement, the kitchen and a carport sized area between the house and the garage.

We never had A/C of any kind, so the central air system must have been added after my parents sold the house in the mid-90's. They offered to give it to me then and I refused.

I feel so weird to accidentally find it listed...

BTW, it's way overpriced... :innocent:

Stupid damn states that aren't California and their cheap-ass houses.

Offer them 175. Then I'll show you where the treasure is buried... :innocent:

Even by NE PA standards, that looks way over priced. Although nearby Catasauqua has a got a few fun little dive bars that are a blast to get hammered in.

It was "different" when our house was sold. Whenever I was out that way we would strain our necks to look down to the house.

And then we heard what the new people did to it - man they hacked it up. Guess they ran a catering business - out of the house (not zoned for it btw) and they took the two story ranch - and moved the kitchen into the half finished basement, thereby leaving the once kitchen empty - so they could put more couches into it as they had a large family, with several staying over - often.

Dining room was still upstairs - so any food prepared had to be walked up 2 stairways.

It took them nearly 3 years to resell the house - wonder why.
