Just pics for enjoyment. One of my favorite R20 aspects is its fold--what a great look. Askew, kind of awkwardly elegant. I don't see too many folded pics of it, so I thought I'd contribute some. In particular, I also love the look of the folded Tikit (unfolded too!). Future plans include going fixed, a long quill stem adapter (if I can find one), maybe a new fork (don't like the rake so much), and retapping the BB. All in theory. Until then, fold pron. Feel free to add.

?

I deleted pictures from Flickr after putting them in the thread--hopefully that was the problem! Ah, my first time putting pictures up...

It is a favourite.

I don't know if I have a pic around but I installed a centre stand on my other Twenty and it worked really well for when I would store the bike in my back entry.

I sold her a year ago and just got her back and despite the beating she suffered at the hands of Toronto thugs :notamused: she will be okay... and when she's properly rehabbed I'll take some pics.

Yes! Well, a little anyway. I rode some nice horse trails and over some loose sand and had a great time. The frame is tough and felt good. Nothing technical or obstacle-ridden, but off road. It's single speed for the time-being, so anything steep would be a walker. I had straight bars on it for a while, which I liked, but which won't fit the stock stem I changed back to.

Sixty-fiver--that's a great folded pic! Shows the kind of cool heap the 20 turns into when it needs to. I especially like the drop bars. I may give that a shot when I get a quill stem adapter.
So far, the 20 works well for me in my tiny studio apt. I fold it up and stow it behind a chair.

I like this shot of John Allen's:

I've gotta say I like the look of those citizens. And the Downtube is pretty tidy too.

the beating she suffered at the hands of Toronto thugs

Ouch. What happened to the bike?

Little Pixel: Every time I see your 20 I'm a little closer to prepping mine for a powder coat. The Brompton hybrid is just ridiculously cool. There should definitely be a Brompton transformer. Bromptomis Prime. Or Velocibromptor. The unfurled version looks like it can get up and go on its own! Nice wheels.

My little Gracie... before the thuggery.

http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikepics/gracecommute2.jpg

I sold her to a friend who took her out to Toronto and although I first thought they were trying to jack her nice wheels they may have been after any piece of metal they could get their hands on (tweakers).

Since she was well shackled they did not get her wheels although all her QR's are gone, her kickstand is gone, and all but the drive side SA nut is gone.

It won't take me long to get her back to 100% and while I am at it will upgrade her crank and bb.

Hi all,
Not my bike, but since someone mentioned super-modded Brom's, here's one from a shop here in Japan that specializes in mini-velo & folder mods:

If anyone's interested in taking a peak of the bike fully sprawled out, and ready to stomp, here's the link: (the bike looks AMAZING btw! 20spd,18"rims, 1 left!)

Littlepix, I like your personalized version of the Brom MUCH MUCH more than any of the stock ones! ; )

[quote=LittlePixel;8431949]My two little concubines:

Could you post a photo of your red Brompton from the other side please, I am really keen to see how differnent bars are accomadated in the fold. My improvised lowprofile handlebared bike is a slightly larger folded package than standard, but not by much,( about 2 inches in width), and with out extra folding stages. A photo is included of my bike folded. Unless I have any radical ideas I will consider the fold reasonably enought refined for the time being.

I see that the japanesse white 20 speed campaq brompton featured lated, has bars that get in the way of the standard compact fold more than mine do. Anyone got examples of racing type bars accomadated within the fold on compact folders ? (without extra folding stagers preferably),

R20's do look like they've been in a wreck when they are folded... it really reduces their curb appeal to thieves.

some more of compairasion shots then!

1)Diblasi folded
2) Downtube with low profile bars folded
3) Merc compaired to DIblasi
4) Mezzo with Downtube
5) Giatex with merc
6) On end Diblasi with Merc (I think), only about 6inchs taller like this, but smaller foot print than merc.
7) Diblasi with merc, showing much thinner profile than Merc.
8) Mezzo with low profile bars
9) Unfinished Downtube upgrade (cant fold bars as cables too short!) with Giatex, and Diblasi.
10) Upgraded Mission space genie demostrating that the small pannier can be left on in full or half fold.
11) Dawooe Shuttle

I would love to see more still.

Seen this unfolded before ,great to see it folded. Many owners seem to modify their bike to make it preform differnetly/better with it often effecting the compactness of the fold. Fantastic job!

Couple more pictures of mine. Only folding bikes I own now, having found a good comprimise. Two dual drive Mezzo's folded. Gold one is 3x7 with standard handlebars in most forward postion. Black bike is 3x9 with lowprofile type bars and racing STI levers. The black bike is a bit thicker when folded, but offers a faster, more streched out riding postion.

What's the saddle on your red concubine? :o I really like the look of it.

It looks like a leather saddle, but I don't recall Brooks looking like that... a different saddle model?
