Electric Bikes - Zebra Cruisers - Seen it? (Electric Beach Cruisers)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this website and was wondering if any of you guys out there have one of these? They look a little more relaxed than the typical e-bike and the style sort of interests me.
I might pick one up and do a review on it and let you know, but seeing if anyone else around here has taken one for a ride?
www.zebracruisers.com is their website. Seems pretty interesting!

Looks kind of nice... but not many stats displayed on the website. I wonder what the price is? What about watts, voltage, etc.? 35 miles sounds like an exagerated range unless it's 36v...
If you like the "beach cruiser" style, be sure to check out: Greenline Electric Bikes (http://www.eco-wheelz.com/catalog/greenline-electric-bikes-c-1_38.php). They have a couple different set-ups to choose from in a variety of colors...

I would want a lot more info before I bought one. I've always thought the laid back beach cruizer style would make a nice electric bike but it is usually better to build up a kit.

Hello,
One of you probably saw one of our stickers posted up around the beach here... because we haven't advertised much yet :)
We are a small Electric Bicycle company out of Newport Beach, CA that has just started up. We have a few working prototypes right now, one of which is shown on the site. The bikes are going over final revisions as they have been gone through thoroughly in the last few months.
I apologize about the site, it is actually a work in progress, and we were just testing out some new pages. We will have the site up and running by the end of March, with specifications, about us, and all that good stuff.
I will give you a quick run down on the bike just to answer some of your preliminary questions.
The Wedge Specifications:
36V 10Ah Lithium-ion Battery
500W Brushless DC Motor
Shimano Components
100% Rust Proof Bicycle, including SS and Aluminum Frame, Chain, Components, Hardware, etc.
The prototype bikes are doing very well and we should have production bikes rolling out right around the beginning of summer. They are assembled in the USA and all components and pieces are of the highest quality standards we can attain. Stainless steel and aluminum are the only two metals used on the entire bicycle, which will ensure a long lasting bike for years to come.
I will update the forums on future plans in the next few weeks.
Let me know if you have any more questions! Thanks!

Out of the four posts in this thread, only one strikes me as sincere. All the others seem to be advertisements.
