It is level, but something doesn't seem right? I went on the outside of the dropout eyelets and also the outside of the rack braze-ons on the seat stay. Is this correct? Thanks. I have more pics if needed.

so long as it's not flapping in the breeze ... :-)
But seriously level doesn't matter so much as the screws staying tight. Did you use lock washers or those nuts with silicone inside them?

There is really no 'one way' to mount racks as long as it's secure. Same goes for fenders.
One thing I would do is to mount it slightly lower to lower the center of gravity if it makes any difference. I see your rack has several mounting holes at the bottom.

I agree. Lower the rack to within 2" or so from the wheel. Even with fenders, you won't need much clearance. The center of gravity is lower and the load rides better.

Thanks for all the comments so far.
I lowered it a little and now it slopes just a bit down towards the back. So that's not a problem?
Also, rumrunn, I used the nuts with silicone.

I'd just go as low as you can while still keeping it level. You can have it slanted if you want but it's goofy.

You should be able to adjust the tilt with the top rack stays. You've got lots of adjustment potential with that rack.
