Since I couldn't talk anyone into riding with me today, I decided to hit the hills by myself.
I haven't done the Alpine ride in about 4 - 5 years (on my single, and NEVER by myself). It's only about 10 - 12 miles up to Alpine from my house, but it's just about all up hill.
Even on the way back, I didn't want to take the same route because of road construction and metal plates in the road. My only other option was going back into town and then doing another mile and a half climb to my house. By the end of the ride I had done 2300 feet of climbing (that's a LOT for me).
It didn't help that the weather decided to turn very warm (82). Guess I can't complain to much, I did have a great time -- isn't that what it's all about?
Well I guess it's off to my 3 mile walk, then I can finally relax.
