I have a question - when removing my wheel the other day I noticed that the locknut was cracked in half. The two pieces obviously fell off of the axle.

I can retighten the bolts to get the wheel back into the frame - but is this a bad idea to ride like this temporarily, with the frame bolted against the axle spacers? Will anything permanent/dangerous happen, or am I ok to give it another commute tommorrow before replacing it after work?

It's a fixed gear/formula hub.

without a lock nut, your hub will loosen and you could be missing a whole lot more than the locknut by the end of the day.
