From some of the comments after one article it is not an isolated type of crime, at least in that area. Quite a few people wondered if other similar crimes would have been put out to the media if "regular" people had been burglarized.

It likely took more than one person to pull that off. Zabriski needs to coordinate with his neighbors, so that they know when he's out of town.

That's ridiculous. How the hell do you steal two cars, a 52 inch TV, and thirteen bikes without anyone noticing. What a damn shame; I hope DZ gets his stuff back.

The neighbors were minding their own business. On another forum, a guy had his house robbed like this. The neighbors told him they thought it was relatives over there, and minded their own business. Sometimes nosy neighbors are better than we think.

It's obvious every one is reading the same police report. Scion is a brand name marketed by Toyota, not a single car Toyota sells - calling his car a Toyota Scion is like calling a Lexus RX a Toyota Lexus or a Corvette a GM Chevrolet! You'd think either the DMV, cops or reporters would be smart enough to know that there are different model cars...

It is said how some people just look the other way when your house is being robbed. Not all people are like that.
But he does need to get someone to watch for him, and alert and recruit the neighbors.
The thieves also check obits and rob people when they are at the funeral. So some security is needed. AND tell the neighbors HEY, if you hear my alarm, do something.

It says half million dollars of stuff still missing, but the list only adds up to about $200,000??? Am I missing something?
