Depends on condition and component group. Shotgun estimate would be $500 - $1000.

I have a 1980 Mondia Super that I paid $5 for, but it was raced hard and pretty much a basket case. By the time I finished the repairs, re-paint, and part replacement I was into it for about $750. It is a beautiful bike, and rides nice.

I might be convinced to give it up for $1000+. Maybe.

Their asking price does not sound unreasonable but without pics it is difficult to give you a more exact price. I am going to assume that the Mondia is free from defects, has been serviced and is ready to ride. Any type of warranty? What are your plans for the Mondia? Does it fit you? Will they come down a bit on the asking price? I own several Mondias, all purchased from private parties, and have paid from $450 to $950. The least expensive was a 1970 repaint, the most expensive a 1971 time capsule garage queen. Hope I've helped.
