Built up that thing would likely be faster than my legs could peddle. And it's almost my size.

Wonder if it'll keep low on auction.. hmmm..

Cannondale track. Stiff and twitchy.... hmmm...

And the only reason I say big boys/girls is cause it's a 63cm.

Just make sure you flip that stem over. Unless, of course, you are going for that hybrid comfort bike/track geometry. But hey, whatever floats your boat....I mean ship.

I'm not sure. I've been scared away from AL. I'd love to try out an AL frame on a FG to see how it feels.

I do dig cannondales, love my R600.

But, I'll probably end up with a steel frame, if at all.

Yea! Join the steel club.

What would you consider "low" for such a frame?

An AL frame? Or Steel?

I've seen the Tsunami AL frames cheap. But I trust Cannondale in that respect. I think a good Cdale track frame low ball would be around 500 - 600. Any more than that may be a good deal, just not for me. They usually sell MUCH higher.

I've got two steel Bianchi's right now. One's worn out the other is celeste.

jeez it's my size, if I had the cash I'd have bought it. I know it's not steel, not lugged, but it would still be sweet. Ah well, maybe another time. I'd love to see just how light you could make a fixie.

Do not buy that bike. Get a ****ing Surly you ******r. I will come to SD and wring your ****ing neck if you buy that POS AL junkbarge. *******. Who the hell do you think you are? Joe Snuffy? Buy something with class, not on a whim. You have enough intestinal fortitude to post about a lost crank while in motion and revel in the fact that you spent damn near nothing on the Beta bike and you want that? Did you slip when you mopped the poop deck? Are you daft? Buy steel or die. And I mean that *****. You deserve better, unless you like having your teeth rattled loose from your head. I hate aluminium to death. Death I say...
I am sure there are others who enjoy their AL frames. Fine. You ride steel now, you will feel the difference between the two. I know I did. Sucker. Punk.
If you buy the AL frame, I will get you one of those Timbuk2 Yoga bags that MKRG loves so much.

You'd have to catch me first. Remember, San Diego has hills. And the yuppies around here don't take to kindly to trash talkin' crackers like you and I. Ever play elbow to elbow with a H2? I have. I'd almost get the dam thing to piss you off. Just for giggles.

A guy I work with said he once tried to refinish a cannondale frame for a friend of is and ended up finding a hole in the aluminum that had been filled with putty and painted over.

I don't like the idea of a company that would intentionally ship a frame they KNEW had a hole in one of the tubes.

Buy a nice frame, not a name.

Everyone makes mistakes. While I'm not really eyeing cannondale due to the cost (even for a deal like this), I think that cdales are made just fine. Ask around and no one has ACTUALLY SEEN ONE FAIL. As I have done a lot of research on AL frames....
