The Face of America Bike Ride on April 25 and 26, 2009 supports severely wounded soldiers and Marines who've been wounded in Afghanistan or Iraq. It's 2 days, starting in Bethesda Md and going up to Gettysburg. 60 miles the first day and 50 the second. Staying overnight in Frederick Md the first day.
The vets on the bikes/trikes for folks who've lost limbs will set the pace. Organizer is World TEAM Sports.org.
It's free for active military, and $50 registration/$400 fundraising minimum for everyone else. Plenty of time to get that accomplished.
It should be plenty of fun and plenty of rip your heart out emotions too.
Please pass the word. Anyone with contacts to the main stream media, this is a great story.
