Hi there, this is my first post here, so please go easy on me :)
Right now I'm after what will be my 3rd Dahon (a Speed TR are this time around). But I'm a little hesitant due to the awful service I recieved when I sent my current Dahon in to have some warranty work done :(
The bike in question was a Vitesse D5, and overall it was a great bike, but one of the bolts worked loose (the one that acted as a retaining pin preventing the hinge dropping out) and when I went to fold the bike, it snaped chewing a lot of the soft aluminum around the hinge area.
Now I was assured this was an easy fix, and that I should get my bike back within 10 days, 7 week's and 4 broken spokes in the rear wheel later, and after the threat of legal action I finally got my bike back :)
But the whole thing has really jaded my opinion against getting another Dahon, so my questions are...
Is there a new, more competent UK importer, and if not has the old one lifted there game?
And has the spares situation improved (still looking for spare spokes for the D5)
Thanks in advance :)
