Okay, so when I saw this the grey chaincase & pedals were attached to the baby carrier and all I could think was :wtf: that's way too young for them to start pedaling. However, the chaincase & pedals are obviously part of the orange bike in the background. :innocent:

I really love the two baby carriers on this bike. Any chance they are available in the US?
Sancycles

I really don't know. Most of the baby carriers of this type (OGK) comes with the Frackers model. Bridgestone, Miyata, and Maruishi makes this type of mamachari (Japanese bicycle). Mostly Japanese mothers uses this bicycle to ferry their chidren to & from school. Try the dealership if they import such carriers.

here's my own contribution. just picked up a folding bike and an OGK here in Shanghai for me and my 2-year old. She absolutely loves it (riding up front), and i rather doubt i'll be able to get here back in her Chariot once we're back in the states (who can blame here? the view is much better).

I have to say, i've never seen OGK in the US (it's a Japanese brand, apparently), but it is absolutely simple, clever, and very well built. As shown in earlier posts above, they make much larger more protective rear seats. Even so, this front seat version still comes with a 5-point harness belt, padding on the seat, and best of all—my daughter loves to sit in it. I wish they sold OGK stateside.

I shudder at the thoughts of what the lawyers and child protection people would do to parents in the USA using those bikes. You know the busy-bodies would be sticking their noses into a parent's taking a child along with them on a similar bike in the States.

so true. if only they could see what happens here and elsewhere. and the ridiculous thing? i was reading this summer about instances of hyperthermia (and subsequent death) because parents in the US left their kids in the car. probably wouldn't happen on a bicycle.
oddly enough, having just left one of those irritating ex-pat diners where a bunch of lazy tarts exclaimed how they'd never ride their bikes on the streets, i rolled my eyes. they've never ridden their bikes long enough to know better (practice in traffic makes you a safer rider, not to mention a more-aware driver). here in CN more people still get about on bicycles as their primary means of independent travel than any other means, they've got kids, and they're just fine. learn something new, i say.

Plastic Basket - My brother gave this basket as a x'mas gift to me. He knows I don't have one like this in my collection so he set aside this basket specially for me. My first wooven design plastic basket with cover. All I had to do was clean it up since it's used already and applied clear coating.
