Hello,

My dad gave me his old ten speed. It is a beautiful bike but a bit heavy. It has a steel frame and is in pretty good condition. I've tried to find some information on this bike but haven't come across anything. It seems Echo no longer makes road bikes but only trick bikes. Does anyone have any information?

Thanks.

You need to post pictures. Also, much of the value of a bike is in the components. Those will be name brand with a model. Those components can help you dial in the age of the bike (almost all components have date codes on them) as well as the value.

Generic frame bikes (without a decal naming the frame material) are usually high ten steel (bottom end). And if it has steel rims, safety levers, stem shifters, and a cottered crank, those are other tell tale signs of a bottom bike. As those features disappear, the bike usually is a higher model.
